Meet the Atomic UAS Team
BJ Mullinax
Founder, Lead Instructor
A former law enforcement officer, BJ first began flying toy and stunt drones with son, Christian, before graduating to Phantoms.
Seeing the benefit to using drone technology, he began mapping crash scenes in 2018 and was also responsible for integrating drones into the crash reconstruction programs at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.
He has been involved in training since 2010 when he was chosen as a field training officer for the Spartanburg (SC) Police Department. In 2016, he became a full-time instructor logging over 7,000 instructional hours before leaving to become a full-time drone mapping pilot in 2021.
Christian Valentine
Co-Founder, TEchnical guru
After receiving a toy drone as a gift from his grandparents, Christian took flight for the first time in 2015, at the ripe old age of “8”.
Since that first drone flight, Christian has maintained an interest in drones, computers, supercars, and all things tech.
Still in high school, Christian studies business, marketing, and web design in addition to his normal high school studies.
At Atomic UAS, Christian manages the backend of the website and is currently studying for his remote pilot exam.
